After becoming a mom for the first time, designer Roxanna Bina was frustrated not only by the lack of organic options for her new bundle of joy, but as her son grew, how difficult it was to find healthy, tasty options that were also convenient.
Enter Fifibear. Felix, or “Fifi” as he is affectionately known to his parents, is the inspiration for Roxanna’s new line of frozen organic baby food. With a French father and an artistic mother, Fifi’s palette is discerning, even at such a young age. With an idea in mind, Roxanna started at her local farmer’s market, where she began to cull fresh produce and herbs from local, organic farmers and create her own delights for her tiny gourmand.
From her desire to provide quality, nutritious, tasty food for her son, Roxanna developed Fifibear’s, naming it after her inspiration—her son. Now, using a certified organic production facility and with the help of a staff just as enthusiastic as she, Roxanna is producing what other moms have been asking her for: enough Fifibear’s to go around!
All products are created from fresh, organic produce and USDA certified beef, chicken and fish. After being cleaned, steamed, pureed, and made in a certified organic kitchen, Fifibear’s products are frozen immediately, which allows the nutrients and fresh taste to remain, without the use of preservatives. Using herbs in lieu of spices protects the delicate stomachs of babies and the inclusion of flaxseed powder in all products provides alpha linolenic acids, a good source of iron and fiber and great for brain development!
As a stage 2 food, Fifibear’s products are packaged in a convenient recyclable cardboard sleeve with 2 x 4-ounce containers that are microwave safe. The ‘Complete Meals” include Herbed Rice and Salmon, Butternut Squash & Chicken Risotto, Symphony of Garden Vegetables (Ratatouille), Provence Chicken, French Beef Stew and Unstuffed Vegetarian Peppers.
